Day 1

We'll choose our shapes, go over our supplies and begin planning and sketching our favorite designs.

All about the painting as I share a variety of fun, approachable, techniques from floral designs, to creating your own character to color blocking.

Who am I?

hi! I'm Marisa 

Artist + Illustrator based in Los Angeles, California

As a Successful Artist running my business online since 2004, I've been asked countless times "How do you do it all"?


Over the past several years, through a lot of trial and error, I decided it was time for a different approach to the overwhelm + stress I was always feeling. I got laser focused on the direction I want my business to grow. 


And more importantly how I want to feel while growing a successful business and *spoiler alert* it's not feeling overwhelmed, scattered, under pressure, always behind in resources, energy and time while staying in a perpetual state of stress.


It's calm, peaceful, profitable and CREATIVE with my energy focused on the tasks where I thrive.


One of those tasks, as may be obvious is making Art, and painting. And yet, as I grew I found myself without any time left for one of the most important priorities in business {which also happens to personally give me incredible joy and fulfillment}


At the end of 2018, I took a close look at my vision and values. I looked at where I had inadvertently gone off course and I started to unravel the web I had built on a hamster wheel, not with a focused plan.  


Guess what! You don't have to make that same mistake. Your path has the opportunity to be much smoother even during such incredibly uncertain times. 


I honor you for being here, and taking the time to learn from someone who has been where you are, who's slightly out ahead and can give you steps to look out for in your own business growth.

Who am I?

hi! I'm Marisa 

Artist + Illustrator based in Los Angeles, California

My journey as a 17 years as a Professional Artist, started with the simple act of Daily Painting in 2006.


Under that umbrella of staying connected to my art making on a regular basis (almost every day!), ornament painting became a regular way for me to spark my inspiration, have fun with creativity, explore and expand my artistic style, and feel the satisfaction of completing a project in a short burst of time.


Not to mention I've loved making and painting ornaments since I was kid!


With an intention of keeping it clear, simple and easy to follow, I'm taking you through my approachable process to painting.


Mostly self-taught, while respecting the "rules and theories" of color and design, I have a unique + free approach to how I teach the techniques that have brought me and my Collector's joy for years.


I believe everyone is creative, and I love supporting you in unlocking or reconnecting with your creativity that's waiting for you. 


While I know this can be a busy season, this is when it's most important to carve out some time just for you to stay connected to what brings you the most JOY!


I honor you for being here, taking the time to learn something new, and connect with wonderful new friends.

What started out as one day a week to be creative while working a full time job became Creative Thursday, home to Marisa's Art, Fabric Designs, Book, Podcast and Youtube Series.


Starting as one of the top 150 Art Sellers on Etsy, 13 years ago. Marisa's work has sold all over the world to private Collectors, independent boutiques, and in Urban Outfitters, Papyrus, Crate & Barrel, and Pottery Barn Kids.


Featured in magazines, film and television, you may have recently seen Marisa's Art in Iron Man's Daughter's Room in the Avengers Endgame. (She is very proud of the fact that Iron Man is one of her Collectors :) )
